A rare pair of Doulton Lambeth stoneware decanters decorated with holly and mistletoe, marked around the necks "Gin and Brandy" the undersides marked "made only for G. W. Scott & Sons" who were luggage and picnic hamper makers of the Victorian/ Edwardian period, My belief is that these decanters were made for one of their hampers (and what a wonderful picnic it would have been)! both decanters dated by Doultons marks as from 1872, silver plated stoppers provide the finishing touches to this fine and seasonal pair of decanters.
